Bergamot Essential Oil for Aromatherapy

Sweet and fruity Bergamot is named after the Italian city of Bergamo in Lombardy, Italy where this oil was first sold.  It is the oil that imparts the unusual flavour to Earl Grey tea.

Bergamot has been used in Italian folk medecine for many years, renowned for its pronounced effect on infections.

Use this essential oil if you are feeling low, depressed or suffering with SAD , bergamot is very uplifting. I find if I have a big task i can't face this oil is a good motivortor.

Bergamot has a cooling, uplifting and calming effect, excellent for anxiety and nervous tension.  Its refreshing qualities are excellent for stress related conditions.

Bergamot works well on the digestive tract, easing dyspepsia, colic, indigestion and loss of appetite.

Its antiseptic and healing action seems to benefit skin conditions, especially those linked to stress and it is also often effective on cold sores, chickenpox and shingles.
